The way this situation was covered by Sky News was very biased, they have gone back to old fashioned ways. Like Dan Gilmoore said ‘We told you what the news was. You bought it, or you didn't.’ Then you ask the questions, Rupert Murdoch owns sky. He helped David Cameron on his campaign to become the new prime minister. Of course he would not let Sky news show coverage of the positive aspects of the protests instead they based there coverage on the negative violence. Viewers were drawn into the violence and were shocked causing a very negative view.

My thoughts on.. The media today
We are in the middle of a media revolution. Not only is it technologically empowering it is also democratically changing. Through blogging, posting or tweeting ordinary people are able to express and publish their views online and get feedback about any topic no matter what it is.
My worry is what is this doing to the owners to the big institutions like Sky? Will they be able to live in a world where they don't control what is being mediated? My answer is no. It is already happening, these big bosses are getting worried. There is not one point of view any more. There are hundreds online views of every person who wants to post it.
This is why they are doing all they can to protect their investments. One huge example is how the tuition fees student protests were covered by Sky news.
